NEW YEAR, NEW MIND

Its 2018.
Am grateful to God for allowing me and my family, friends to see this year.
2017, was quite a long, challenging year for me, my mind was a battlefield that hosted the many wars that were in me, i felt helpless most of the time and it was as if everything was not working out.
But at the end of the year, i was constantly telling myself that i needed to step in 2018 with a changed mind, changed attitude towards everything that has been battling in my mind, changed view of how i see life, changed mind on how i see myself and life generally. I just wanted to take control of my mind, and every situation that i can possibly control and the hardest i leave them to God.
Now a new year, does not necessary make everything new, nor does the movement of the clock produce the newness of life , it is the movement in your mind that gives newness to life.
Our biggest enemy we have in our lives is 'ourselves', in what we think, in what we have in our minds, and unless we take control and want to transform into a higher expression and version of ourselves then nothing will ever change.
Our greatest weapon and tool is the mind, we need to control what we put in or mind, we need to filter, cut, edit and delete what will bring confusion, we need to stay away from negative energies, we need not entertain anything that threatens our peace of mind, we need to be flexible to accept change and be ready to leave our comfort zones when its time to move so that we can receive healing,change,  and upgrade to the best versions of ourselves, we must be willing to do things differently than we were doing them to get new results or better results, we must love the truth and be ready to live the truth, we must live with a purpose, must chose our battles wisely and we must know who we are and what we stand for.
The Bible in the book of Romans 12;2 says  'Do not be conformed to this world,[a] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect'' ESV

Our minds needs to be renewed daily so that we can be transformed and be better people. 
And so since we have been given life again this year, its another chance to start afresh, let go of our past, live for the moment and let God deal with our future as we strive to live happily, make strategies for our goals, act and stop procrastinating things but also bless others with what we have been blessed with.
