This is a serious issue that i expect many people will unite to Protest, how can we be making one step foward, two steps back? This does not make any sense in today's world, in a country that is still developing, in a country where the level of literacy is still progressing.
This is totally unacceptable from such a respected leader.
Denying girls an opportunity to get Education has a direct impact both on their families and on wider society it actually perpetuates poverty and is against human rights.
Girls deserve education as equally as boys, and more work needs to be done to ensure that they have access to reproductive health education so they can make safe choices for themselves and must be in a supportive educational environment.
A number of studies have shown that increasing the number of girls benefiting from education has a positive effect on a country's per capital economic growth,
So really there is no justifying reason as to why pregnancy should stop a girl from pursuing education.
I hope this is just a bad joke.
